COVAX-19 (also known globally as SpikoGen) is an insect cell-expressed recombinant protein-based COVID-19 vaccine. Developed by the Australian biotechnology company Vaxine in collaboration with the Middle Eastern pharmaceutical firm CinnaGen, it became the first recombinant spike-protein vaccine to be approved worldwide when it received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) in Iran in October 2021
