(cAd3-Marburg): This single-dose candidate uses a modified chimpanzee adenovirus vector (cAd3) to deliver genetic instructions for a viral surface protein. Shown to be safe in Phase 1 trials, it is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials across Uganda, Kenya, and the United States. In late 2025, over 640 investigational doses of Sabin cAd3-Marburg were deployed to Ethiopia under an emergency outbreak response protocol to protect frontline workers.
